Jourdain gates come in two parts, male and female, which allows for flexibility with the install and adjustability for the farmer’s application. Each gate can be adjusted in length from 35″ to 272″ pin to pin. For example, the shortest gate can be adjusted from 2’11” to 6’6″; the longest gate goes from 19’8″ to 22’8″ and can extend even longer if you add the optional gate front. The gates are built with the same high standards as the headlocks. Jourdain uses a high grade of steel, and they are robotically welded and hot-dip galvanized.

The Heavy Duty 4 Bar gates are the ones most commonly used for dairy and beef cows. Heavy Duty 3 Bar gates are also available and provide an economical alternative for dairy and beef cows. They are especially popular in robot barns. There is a 5 bar option that is used for calves and young heifers. Several gate and panel fronts (male end) are available to suit different needs. For example, man passes, one way gates, and gates with openings for water drinkers. Jourdain Two Bar panels are another available option.
